DROGHEDA DOES DOUBLE

Western Motors ŠKODA in Drogheda collects two awards at ŠKODA national conference.

The ŠKODA Ireland Marketing Person of the Year 2021 award was presented to Brona Reilly of Western Motors and Brian McCallion, Business Manager, received the prestigious Finance Manager of the Year 2021 at the ŠKODA Ireland Annual Conference this week. They beat off stiff competition from all other dealers in the ŠKODA network.

Presenting the awards, Niall Walsh, Area Sales Manager, ŠKODA Ireland said, ‘We are thrilled to announce Brona as ŠKODA Marketing Manager and Brian as ŠKODA Finance Manager of the Year for 2021.  The standards in the ŠKODA network are very high so it is a great achievement to win these awards. Despite challenges for the business and the industry as a whole, ŠKODA Ireland achieved a record market share in 2021, which is testament to the strength of our retail partners and their teams.’

Brona was commended for several marketing initiatives including video productions for their virtual 212 showroom event during Covid and video productions highlighting the ŠKODA electric range of vehicles. Both campaigns were hugely successful with the ŠKODA virtual showroom videos achieving over 58,000 engagements on Facebook and the ŠKODA electric video series achieving over 36,000. Continued digital developments at the dealership were also commended.

Brian’s achievements on delivering a first-class financial service to our ŠKODA customers and working with the sales teams to embrace the new technologies that connect our brand and customers have been very successful and it is clearly a key development area of the business.

Both Brona and Brian said that the awards are very much a testament to the great team work at Western Motors Drogheda.

Commenting on her award, Brona said ‘We are delighted to have our hard work recognised and awarded by ŠKODA and it is an honour to accept this award on behalf of the team here at Western Motors and the partners who worked with us on the projects mentioned.’

Brian commented ‘I was honoured to be awarded ŠKODA Finance Manager of the Year. For me, it should be ŠKODA Team of the year as the entire sales team are exceptional and what we achieved together in what has been an incredibly tough year is outstanding.’
